This RCA IYC 11 Cartridge recorder was donated to our collection by Bruce Truitt.
It was released in 1958 to provide an easier way to play tape without the hassle of threading. It preceded the Phillips Compact Cassette and unfortunately was discontinued in 1964. However RCA was still promoting the cartridge concept in 1965 and 1966.
