Detailed information regrding the A.R. Vetter Company, Inc.'s history was not found. According to the information below, they began manufacturing in 1963. Also Crown and A.R. Vetter built some joint data reel tape recorders.

Crown built some A. R. Vetter tape recorders and there are articles about “Electrographic data was collected on polygraphic paper ( Grass Model 6 Electroencephalograph ) and magnetic tape ( Crown - Vetter Model A ) ; behavioral observations were noted on the paper record.” 1979 Sleep Research
